This podcast is about the goop between technology, music, and creativity – told through the lens of yk Records. This episode exemplifies that quest. Today we talk with Alex Caress and Beth Cameron about their experiences being discovered by the Lost Wave community – a group of sleuths that take on the task of finding music that is otherwise uncredited.
Both Alex and Beth had music uploaded to the Internet without any credit – fans simply having the music files and wanting to find out who made the songs. Lost Wave tracked them both down. This conversation isn’t as much about how they were found (tho we do cover that) but more about how it feels to have music you created decades ago reach someone in a meaningful way, music you yourself considered lost.
